Valley Forge Casino Resort and Boyd Gaming properties are committed to making our communities better places because we are a part of them. Each month, Valley Forge chooses a different organization to assist as part of the ongoing Giving the Boyd Way program.

In February, Valley Forge helped The Joy of Sox, a nonprofit organization, kick off their “Going for a Million in 2023” campaign. Founded more than a decade ago, The Joy of Sox’s mission is to provide joy and health to those experiencing homelessness by giving them new socks. Their goal is to be the most effective sock charity in the United States and to give every person experiencing homelessness in America six pairs of new socks each year.

In an effort to fulfill their mission, Valley Forge conducted a month-long drive where team members donated new pairs of socks. Thanks to the wonderful team members, Valley Forge was able to donate 1,000 socks to a variety of homeless shelters, soup kitchens, clinics and organizations, as well as provide a $1,000 donation to the nonprofit.

Valley Forge also plans to host a spring-cleaning clothes drive and a Best Buddies Walk to support inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in May.
