Kansas Star Casino volunteers recently helped at the 37^th Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Wichita Golf Tournament. Known as Wichita’s most prestigious charity tournament, the RMHC event helps provide countless nightly stays for families with sick or injured children receiving medical care in Wichita, Kansas.

Team members enjoyed a day at the course assisting with photos, check-in, banquet set-up and gift giveaways. Players and non-players had a chance to win a trip to one of two beautiful golf courses in Missouri, WingHaven or The Legends Country Clubs, with the purchase of a $50 raffle ticket. In addition to volunteering, four team members also participated in the Wichita Golf Tournament which in turn raised enough money to support a family in the Ronald McDonald House for 1,820 nights!

Miranda Fields, Human Resources Manager at Kansas Star, described her experience and her “why” for volunteering. “Personally, it’s seeing the smiles on the faces of those we helped. It’s the positive stories and “thank you” we get back after the event from the families that have been helped in the community.”

Thank you, Kansas Star, for getting involved and helping to raise $182,000 for families who need it most.
