Two Boyd Gaming properties are helping to bring holiday cheer to local children in need. Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Louisiana, and Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia, Louisiana are participating in their local Toys for Tots drive to help bring the joy of the holiday season to their communities.

Toys for Tots, founded in 1947, is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve and distributes toys to children whose families cannot afford to buy Christmas gifts. Team members and guests are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0 – 12 to send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children. To date, Toys for Tots has supported 281 million children and distributed 627 million toys.

For the 16^th consecutive year, Treasure Chest Casino is proud to partner with Toys for Tots. Last year, the property donated 13 full-to-the-top boxes of toys and bicycles, marking the team’s largest donation to date. “Our team strives to donate as much as we can with the hope of giving as many kids as possible a special holiday season,” said Kelly Boeckman, Team Member Relations Manager at Treasure Chest. “The team looks ahead to giving less fortunate children hope and a reason to believe in their future.”

“Amelia Belle is proud to be part of the Toys for Tots program for the first annual year,” said Rodney Miller, Director of Marketing at Amelia Belle Casino. “It is a great way for our team members and our guests to provide a special gift that will certainly make a child’s holiday special.”

Team members, guests, and local residents can drop off toys in the collection bins located at the Main Entrance’s security podium from November 28 – December 14. All donations will be distributed directly to local children in surrounding parishes.
